Friday is a gift -- mostly sunny, 78°F, barely any wind. Saturday and Sunday hedge: high 70s-80s with a one-in-three chance of the afternoon turning dramatic (NWS). The weekend's anchor does not care: Flora-Bama's Interstate Mullet Toss runs Friday through Sunday on Perdido Key, and if you have been to a mullet toss, you know the party proceeds through weather up to and including active lightning.

Friday

Interstate Mullet Toss & Beach Party -- Flora-Bama Lounge, $0-$20, 8:00 AM CT (runs through Sunday 4:00 PM)

The big one. Three days of live music, fried mullet, frozen bushwackers, and grown adults flinging dead fish across the Florida-Alabama state line for prizes. Gates open at 8 AM Friday. Get there early on the weekend days if you want parking anywhere near the building -- this one genuinely packs the beach.

Bikini & Hot Body Contest -- Flora-Bama Lounge, Included with Mullet Toss admission, 10:00 AM CT Friday (and runs through Saturday 3:00 PM)

Flora-Bama runs the contest during Mullet Toss weekend along with three other weekends each year. Top three finalists split $5,000. Registration happens on-site.

Bama Coast Cruisin' -- The Wharf, Free, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM CT

Classic car rolling show at The Wharf, day two of three (runs Thu-Sat). Orange Beach weather Friday should be ideal for it -- sunny and high 70s. Free to browse, walk among hundreds of vehicles, and talk shop with owners.

Colton Wadkins Live at Portside -- Portside at The Wharf, No cover, 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM CT

Live music on the patio at Portside, The Wharf's waterfront bar. Four hours, no cover, open-air setting. A good way to end a Cruisin' Friday without committing to a full dinner-reservation evening.

Saturday

Driving Away Addiction Golf Tournament -- Lost Key Golf Club, Registration required, 8:00 AM CT

Charity golf tournament at Lost Key benefiting Pensacola Teen Challenge. 8 AM shotgun start. Saturday's weather shows a 33% chance of thunderstorms -- morning should be fine, but the tournament may race the afternoon clouds.

Silverhill Heritage Day -- Silverhill Town Hall, Free, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM CT (parade at 10:00 AM)

Annual heritage celebration in downtown Silverhill, honoring the town's Swedish and Czech roots. Parade steps off at 10 AM. Old-school small-town day -- vendors, food, community. Worth the drive if you haven't been.

The Fairhope Foodie Walking Tour -- Taste of Fairhope, Ticketed, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM CT

Guided walking tour through downtown Fairhope stopping at four restaurants -- seafood, local favorites, desserts. Runs rain or shine, which is good because Saturday could get wet. Three hours, small group. Reservations through Taste of Fairhope.

Sunday

Interstate Mullet Toss & Beach Party (Day 3) -- Flora-Bama Lounge, $0-$20, continuing through 4:00 PM CT

Closing day of the Mullet Toss. Sunday typically mellows from the Saturday peak but the party runs until 4 PM. 31% chance of storms Sunday per NWS -- outdoor events here usually push through Gulf afternoon showers, but keep an eye on timing if you're driving in.

Mobile Bay Maker's Market -- Mobile Bay Maker's Market, Free, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM CT

Open-air market on Twin Beech Road in Fairhope. Local makers, artisans, small-batch farmers. Good rainy-Sunday hedge -- mostly covered if weather turns, and tight enough to browse in under an hour if you just want a break from the house.

Kyle Brady at LuLu's Gulf Shores -- LuLu's Gulf Shores, No cover, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM CT

Alabama native Kyle Brady plays coastal folk and roots-rock at LuLu's. Four-hour set, no cover, waterfront. Late-afternoon sun into evening is prime timing for LuLu's patio -- and if Sunday storms move through earlier, the deck should be dry by showtime.
